I'm tired of listening to these "Classic Rock" stations that are proliferating these days. Most of these stations play only "hits" that were over played when they were in the top 40 and most of us were tired of them in their day let alone now.God forbid that one of these stations take the initiative to play a classic rock song or group that didn't reach the over hyped top 40, they insist on playing almost the same play list daily and maybe have a total rotation of 200 overplayed songs and that's being generous with my estimate.I can't fathom why or how people can listen to the same tiresome audio drivel each and every day.

You need to listen to Slacker radio. You can choose a station catering to the genre of your choice and then you can choose whether you want to hear all the top 40 hits or the album deep cuts.

The only problem I found with Pandora is that it played a lot of music I'd already heard by a lot of artists I already liked. I like listening to radio to discover new songs and new artists. So I use keep Slacker radio set to traditional blues, album deep cuts. It's great. :D

The radio for me is alright, but if i'm home I usually just turn on the music channels on DirecTV (they have an awesome blues station on there). And if I'm out and about, the iPod suits me well. Not many of those tracks have ever hit top40, hell most of the artists I enjoy have probably never hit the top 40.

Radio is all about commercials and selling the air time for them.

I bring CDs or my IPod and I'm happy. Unless I want to hear about traffic and then I go to the AM band to hear the "Traffic on the 3's" ( every 10 minutes ) find out if I'm near a traffic jam and then go back to my personal music.

I luckily grew up when AM was on its way out and FM was just taking over with "Underground Radio". WBCN in Boston. FM is on its way out now.

Man Those were the days. 8)

I miss the radio drama shows.

Ever since yak yak airhead talk radio hit the air, it's gone downhill.
