Newest: '09 Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster (First guitar I've ever owned that doesn't have at least one humbucker, and I never play anything else anymore...love my Tele)

thats usually what happens when one buys a quality tele.

So I've discovered...it was a total fluke that I even bought a tele in the first place, and I was apprehensive about buying any MIM Fender gear, but I am sold, and I'm sure that there will be another Tele in my stable by this time next year, I'm thinking an American Std. is in order.

How do you like your '74? I had a '73 that I used for many years. It took quite a beatin', but kept sounding good at the gigs. I kept it all stock and eventually had to sell it to pay some medical bills, but still got about four times what I paid for it new back in '73.

Mike I still like it alot. I picked it up at a pawnshop for $125 with the case back in 1981. It was my main guitar throughout the 80's and saw lots of gig time. It never let me down, though I did take quite a bit of flack for playing a Strat instead of a Chandler or a Charvel (won't even mention my audacity for daring to play "metal" on heavily distorted single coils). I still play her from time to time, but mostly she sits in the case. Now I mostly play my newer Strat, Tele, and the SG.

Not sure if you've seen what they're selling for these days, especially if all stock!
