I've used Kyser capos since I started playing guitar and have always had pretty good luck with them. I don't know if they changed what kind of metal they use in the spring or what, but I just broke the fourth one of this year on Saturday night. After I broke the third, I sent an e-mail to them saying basically what I've written here, but I guess my complaint didn't warrant a responce. I broke down and bought a G7 capo and love it, but about a week later, I found a Kyser in an old gig bag of mine and decided to use it until it broke. It only took about a month. So, I'm using the G7 full time and not turning back. If you don't own a G7 already, go get one. Great design doesn't pull your guitar out of tune because you apply as much pressure as you need to hold it down. Feels really solidly built. Hopefully I'll have more luck with this one than the four Kysers I had.

I'm not big capo user and I've used Kyser for years. Never had one break. However I did try this one and use it on my acoustic because its so darned easy to roll on and off Its a Glider Capo here's a demo link below.

I haven't used it on my electrics but it works well on my acoustics.

Thanks for the heads-up, pts.

I only use my Kyser on my 12-string Strat and only on a few songs -- "Free Falling" (Tom Petty) and a couple of John Mellencougar tunes -- but if/when it takes a dump I'll look into alternatives.

I've had a Schubb capo for years, no trouble at all and pretty simple to put on with one hand too.

i use a capo 70% of the time on my acoustic. i couldn't tell you what kind it is. it's really old but it works fine. if and when i get another one, i'll steer clear of the one you mentioned.

I've been using the G7th for a couple of years now and love it. To be honest though I've not tried any other and only use a capo rarely.(mostly on acoustic)
