Fellow Forum member Pat Harte dropped by my house this afternoon for the grand opening of another great guitar he ordered from Japan. It's an Edwards Les Paul Jr. with P-90s,it certainly is as good and dare I say better than Gibson's current LP Jrs. I plugged it into my JCM 800 and played it clean first and it sang with a full and mellow tone from the neck pup and had a nice treble from the bridge-not as bright as a Strat or Tele but really nice and both pups combined was lovely. When I cranked the guitar with lots of amp overdrive is where she shone with a real nice weepy woman tone and the bridge pup was a real little raunch kicker. This was the first Edwards I'd played although I've read many favourable reports about them and I saw for myself the reports are quite right, they're great guitars.

Thanks Guit for the intro!! :) Here's a few pictures taken of it. I have to get used to the weight and feel of the guitar as I'm used to the bulk and weight of the LPs. It think this will be it for my LP style guitars....on to a few Fenders next

EDIT: It's a 2005. I have been looking for a double-cut with 2 P90's in it for some time, when this was offered to me I had to get it right away. It's my first Edwards and if it measures up to the Edwards reputation it will be a dandy.

Looks really good. How much did it cost?

I paid under a grand for it including shipping from Japan.
