I know that yuze gize from the U.K. have already turned your clocks back and we do it this upcoming weekend, but seems too early for Christmas songs to me.

Woah...calendar check...less than 8 weeks left. :? Yikes!

"Christmas in Kilarney" ... the Dennis Day version i think it was that i remember from long ago. Great memories from that one though i can't seem to find his rendition anymore. Might have to dub my moms old records next time i visit.

I don't know whether to be happy about this or not... I love Christmas songs but the radio station I listen to plays one song about a guy who meets an old flame in a grocery store and then they go sit in his car drinks a few beers... I have no idea what it's called but everytime they play it (every 5th song it seems) I cringe.

What I heard was the Brian Setzer Orchestra's version of "Dig That Crazy Santa".

Well at least the election is over and there are no more political ads!! I think every other commercial was for politicians.
Though I was fearing that as soon as the election was over, the Christmas ads would begin!
Christmas songs I don't mind.

Any day now we'll be subjected to Christmas music resonating through the malls and stores-so much so that by the time big day comes we're in a state of carol overload.I don't mind the old Chistmas carols but when people like Mariah Carey,Lady Gag and Sealion Dyin' put there own twists and their annoying warbling on them it's pretty hard to take.I love the old songs the way they were done years ago and these new remakes just don't cut it.

Yep its that time again. Just got an email from the Worship Pastor at Church reminding me of rehearsal Sunday evening "Please have all the Christmas music ready for rehearsal. Some of the MP3s do not have sheet music posted yet. Work it out and be ready to play it off of the MP3"

Yes we get to play yet another contemporary rendition of "Hark the Herald Angels", "Joy to the World", and the Porky Pig version of "Blue Christmas" among others. Really though it is alot of fun... 8)

I can't stand Christmas music.

Maybe it's because when I was eight years old we went to the mall and a guy dressed like Santa Claus tried to kill my dad.

Anyone who likes Christmas music AND great guitar playing I highly recommend "Merry Axemas: A Guitarist Christmas"
