It's terrible. Red economics are what has destryed this country and with the right getting further and further regressive, it is going to be terrible. Too many don't understand that we are in the early stages of a post-scarcity econmy and the old ways are incredibly obsolete.

This is an almost worst case scenario...

The ignorance of most americans astounds me. The number of people I have talked to today who had no idea about TARP or the recovery act or how successful the GM bailout was, or the great things that have been pushed through over the last couple years. They just regurgitate rhetoric they heard on Cable news with no insight or education on the issues. It's nothing short of embarassing.

ok enlighten us oh political one.
and please do spend some time, for us ignorant ones,
and explain how the GM bail out was a sucess.
for some it was a success but for others it ruined them.
(this reply was changed due to misunderstanding on my behalf).

That wasn't directed at you. I'm sorry if it came off that way. And I'm referring to ignorance on the left and right. How many people simply believed what glenn beck, mike moore and others said, not really forming their own opinions. By NO means are you ignorant if you aren't as left as I am. It just means you have different values and that is great. It's those who went in completley blind, who had no opinions of their own that saddened me. Those who truly didn't understand what was going on and could only regurgitate talking points from the Daily Show or Fox News.

How was it successful? It saved thousands of jobs and GM is profitable again and ready to go public again.

And without TARP, the recovery act, and holding and lowering interest rates, predictions have the jobless level estimated way above the 9.7% high, up to 27-31%. A true hard depression. One that we may yet see, though I pray the right isn't as radical as their most outspoken.

this i do agree with totally.
some people believe theres always somebody out to get them.
they believe theres always this conspiracy going on.
now im not gonna set here and say that there isnt a conspiracy always in the works somewhere but i dont believe everything is a conspiracy.

TARP was Bush

Stimulus is a total waste. even Obama admits there aren't any shovel ready jobs as promised.

GM wasn't success. Now instead of paying into my retirement I have to pay for theirs and I have no say in the matter.

sometimes you can't just vote for the best dancer you have to vote for who listens to the people they serve. these People in DC think we serve them.

I made good money when Clinton was President. I Made GREAT money when Bush was President. I barely make ends meet with Obama bring president.
I'd rather be free and broke then beholden to any tyrant. Or political party.

I guess you would consider me an ignorant fool. Most liberals consider anybody not willing to conform to their vision of Utopia.

Well perhaps Goddard will finally "get it" after his third time at bat that we don't want that cupcake as our governor.
