Just like most of you, i'm a tone freak. i like my tone to be natural and real. i dont like drivers too much as they add color to your sound. im running my strat thru only a few effects and into my ac30. i have been using an EHX LPB-1 to boost into natural overdrive, which has been working, but the overall level had to increase. i searched my local shop for a pedal that would boost without adding more output volume. i didnt know if this was even possible, but when i asked the tech about it i heard 2 or 3 ppl in the background chuckle and then he said, 'aahh yea, you want this...' and handed me this yellow box. so now i have a new XOTiC AC Booster.

turns out that most of the guys in the shop actually use this same pedal in their own bands. played against a fulltone, a ds-1, blue box, blues driver, a whole load of drivers, and this one takes the cake.

i personally think it sounds amazing! does exactly what i want without too much tweaking. you have to adjust a tad to suit different outputs of different guitars, but thats minimal when the tone you have been after is right at your fingertips! (i guess thats what i'll start using the LPB for, to adjust volume to compensate pickup outputs)

how do you guys like xotic effects pedals?
