I just watched this Tom Petty doc called Runnin' Down A Dream and it was great! I mean the things he's accomplished and down with his career is mind blowing. If you haven't seen this doc, go on amazon and buy for like $20 (or $13 if your cheap). It is a must own for any fan of TP. I'm highly thinking of changing my career choices and set out to become a musician :D

That is a great Doc! Tom Petty is amazing, not only his obvious talents as a musician and writer, but also his attitude. It's incredible what one can do when failure is not an option.

I own it and I have watched it many times...it is a wonderful story about making it in rock n roll.

When I was in high school I wore new grooves in my Damn the Torpedoes album. Tom Petty is a true rock and roll artist - he creates / plays very melodic music with great lyrics and he has surrounded himself with great musicians.

Can you tell I am a fan???

Petty is an amazing songwriter...he has a huge catalog of great songs. The guitarist for the heartbreakers, Mike I think, is a very talented player as well.

Is that the documentary that goes into the guitar collections that he and Mike Campbell have amassed?I read a review a while back and it rated the doc. as a must have.

Tom Petty a gifted very talented artist/guitarist/singer/writer, when ever played on the radio back in the day, or at a club, or party I always listened and liked hearing his songs.

It is an excellent documentary of TP and the Heartbreakers. The bonus Concert is really fine too. One of the bands best concerts.

Tom Petty is a true rock and roll legend. A man who isn't afraid to stand up for his priciples even if it means bankruptsy. For him, it's all about the music, a lot of bands could look to him as an example of keeping an incredibly tight bunch of musicians together through thick and thin. In this day and age of X Factor and American idol, he is a shining beacon in the wilderness.
