Since I have pretty small hands and attended the Jimi Hendrix/Buddy Guy school of string bending and whammy abuse I have used 8-38s for years. First I used Fender 150 SLs then Dean Markley 8-38s and had tried SITs and Ernie Balls I finally found D'Addario EXL 130 8-38s and they are the best for staying in tune and holding their brightness. There's no problem to bend 6 or 7 semi tones with that gauge but not too many times in one song.

Elixir Nanoweb 10s on the CS-336 and Les Paul, 11s with 3rd wound on the CIJ Tele, D'Addario 10s on the Strat, and I don't know what's on the Kirn and 335.

I use GHS Low Tune Nickel Rockers, straight from the package they feel broken in... they don't feel slippery at all. Because of this they also have a longer perceived lifespan.

I've tried different brands but this set really seems to make my guitars sing.

Ernie Ball slinky 10s on my Ibanez artcore jazzbox but I'm thinking something flatwound will work better on it.
GFS reg 9s on my Silvertone.
Ernie Ball coated phosphor bronze 12s on my acoustics.
