Last week while visiting my local Barnes & Noble book store I found a new Fender book titled The Ultimate Fender Book. It is great and covers a ton of stuff by model and year. 272 pages worth. It even comes with a DVD where Carl Verheyen and the author discuss a great collection of guitars and also features a gallery of photos.
Book is published in 2010 so it is very current and it was Bargin Priced at $14.98. What a deal.

Check it out.

Does it have specs for all models for all years?

All the specs for all of the models for all of the years is a pretty tall order but for most of the models it breaks down the information in terms of neck, body, electronics and hardware. I can't comment on how detailed it is but it certainly looks sufficient for the average user. It appears pretty good.

I'll go see if my local B&N has one. Is it in the bargain section?

I have this book. It's worth it just for the DVD!!!! Unfortunately in the book there are a few little errors, but it still is a great book and resource. I wish it went into more spec detail such as pickups. I still recommend it though.

The DVD is a few years old and is the same one that comes with the Fender Guitar Bible. I don't have that book though. Clips of the DVD have been on youtube for a while http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrO1Fe88Qu8 Anyone have both the Fender Bible and Ultimate Fender Book? Is it worth it to have both?

Don't forget the Stratocaster Chronicles on the book list. The Ultimate Fender Book does a nice job covering all models.
I found it in the discount "get your attention" racks away from the normal music section. At $15, minus any card holder discounts, I don't think you can go too wrong.

Just picked up the book last night $8.08 tax included at Barnes and Noble. Does have a few mistakes but good pic's, good DVD and a ton of information. What a deal for the money.
