A Huge talent for his age, I don't think a lot of people realize the amount of session work he put in at Muscle Shoals before he started the Allman Bros. He is a legend. 8)

I was in North Carolina and had just recently bought "Idlewild South" and "Live at the Fillmore East" when it happened. Stunned and thinking Jimi was gone a year and almost a month earlier. Alan Wilson was the first to leave us a couple of weeks before Jimi.

Alan "Blind Owl" Christie Wilson - September 3, 1970

Jimi Hendrix - September 18, 1970

Duane Allman - Oct. 29, 1971

R.I.P. Duane Allman.

The music to Little Martha is engraved on Duane's headstone. She is actually buried in the same cemetery, and has a lifelike statue, for those who might be interested, her name was Martha Ellis.
here's a link to Duane's grave site.
