I've read write ups on Sonny in guitar mags and have heard a couple of tracks but to see him in action makes me want to take my guitars and burn them-he's incredible with the hammer ons and partly fretting and chording while using the slide -the guy is a phenomenon.

Sonny has a style all his own and it's incredible,I've tried to do some of his stuff,and it's really hard to note behind the slide and make it sound right.
I read one time where he said he has a small piece of the "peacock shirt" that Duane Allman is seen wearing in the photos on the Layla album,and he carries it in his pocket when he's playing...for mojo.
