I just received my new Taylor 214CE that my wife bought for my upcoming birthday. I don't know how it sounds plugged in but unplugged, I like it very much and it is set up almost as easy as an electric.

How do you like that ES-T pickup on your Taylor?

I'm so used to close mic'ing when using acoustics, but I'm guessing that some of the pickups are much better these days?

I haven't decided on an acoustic amp yet. I will probably take a look at them the next visit to Guiter Denter. I checked it out with my G-Dec 3 but since the G-dec is intended for use with an electric guitar it was not really that good (not even with the acoustic parlor setting).

Taylors are amazing sounding with or without amps, so much resonance and sustain.
