Here is a tone demo. How does it compare to the MXR Classic Distortion?

I own both of those bad boys.

When I compared the two, I found the green M66 Classic Overdrive works better with single coils; it's got a TS9-like quality to it. I like it a bit more than the black M86 Classic Distortion.

Although, when I break out my G&L F100 (mahogany body, humbuckers), I'm glad I picked up the M86 Distortion...it's like all the good qualities of the old orange Boss DS1 (creamy sustain) without the bad (sterility, lack of oomph).

I wonder why your A/B didn't show as much difference in tone as mine did. :?

I hope GC comes out with another of these $30 MXR Classic _____ pedals this year. I would love a Classic Phaser (although MXR already makes the greatest phase shifter in the world in the Phase 90) or a Classic Octave pedal...
