i just got a call from an old friend of mine. he has a 60's band, and i've become friends with all the guys. they have been kind enough to let me sit in on occasion.

i was informed that the guitar player has cancer. the doctors think they can get it all, but you never know.

a day or 2 later, the drummer found out he has prostate cancer. it was caught early, so things look good.

keep a good thought for my friends if you will. they are great guys. both around 50, and i can't wait to see them again.

Prayers and mojo. Tell them to think positive and don't stop fighting.

You can have them read through my battle with cancer - - it might help them to keep thinking positive.

My prayers go out to your buddies, phreddybee. Music, laughter and friendship are among the best known soul lifters, so good on you for helping them in their time of need. And that extends as well to anyone else fighting cancer and any other life-threatening/altering disease. I know there are a few on this forum that are fighting/have fought this as well.

My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer in May and has been responding well to treatments. My nephew (40 yrs old) just found out last month that he has Stage 2 T-cell Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. They are still waiting for final test results to find out if it went beyond one lymph node. So far, the preliminary test results are good.
