The subject line wouldn't fit the entire line, it should read that :
AFM Petition to help standardize airline carry-on policies for musical intruments.

If you ever tried to travel with your instruments you know it can be a hassle because airlines all have different policies about carry-ons.

Check it out and sign if you agree :

I signed it and left the comment that musical instruments are expensive and the means with which musicians earn a living and that we shouldn't have to take the risk of having them damaged in the baggage compartment or by careless baggage handlers.

+1000
I watched a careless handler literally throw my strat onto a belt. I gasped and it happened right after I asked the agent to please make sure it is taken care of because it is precious.

I signed it, I travel a lot.

Think musical instruments are bad to travel with.
Try being a photographer and flying with your kit. :)

They can make a mess out of electronics too -- supposedly the point (as told to me by an early days employee) behind why Compaq so over-built their early computers.

Petition is signed!
