Hi all,

Well I'll be in Quebec this coming January for 3 days and wondered if anyone could recommend some guitar stores to visit while I'm there?

I don't know which part of Quebec you're going to but in Montreal's east end there's a huge Steve's Music Store that has a huge room dedicated to guitars only another for drums and so on.If you look up Steve's Music site you'll find the address.I'd go to Steve's before Long and McQuade even though L&M is the bigger franchise as Steve's staff always seems to be more knowledgeable. If you had a chance to make a run up to Ottawa the Steve's Store there is really great and if by chance you do ask for Gary the guy is amazing with his guitar knowledge.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I just found out I'll be in the "old city of Quebec" . Being put up in the Chateau Frontenac. I have to check that out on the web. Sounds nice.

The music stores will have all the same stuff as any other music stores.

But the restaurants................ within walking distance of that hotel.

The Chateau Frontenac is a fabulously oppulent hotel. We stayed at a quaint little hotel/cafe across the large courtyard from the Frontenac that was built in the 17th century no doubt you'll see the street artists selling prints of the old hotel across from the Frontenac. You'll find all kinds of nic nacs there that you won't find anywhere else in the many boutiques there as well as amazing cuisine from the many bistros and restaurants .The Old Quebec City is probably the most beautiful and picturesque city in Canada-next to ST. John's NL lol bring a good camera for sure.
