Hi, I'm very new to this site. I am trying to find out how old my Fender Twin Reverb (silver face) amp is. I have the serial number for the amp and the speakers. I have owned it since the mid '70's when I bought it from a musician who claimed he had it for about 10 years (he bought it new). If he is correct, then I would naturally guess that the amp is from the mid '60's. This would make it a 'Vintage" amp. It is still in really good shape and plays like a brand new 'smokin' hot' amp. It is all original. Nothing has been done to it in all the time that I owned. I came here to the Fender web-site hoping that I would be able to find a way that it can be dated. No luck. I am hoping that someone can help me date it. I would appreciate any comments that would help me. Thank you, George.

Welcome to the forum George,I take it from your post name you also have the classic Hammond organ along with the old Twin-lucky guy. You could also try the vintage amp section of this forum if you don't find what you're looking for in the links.

Oh BTW if it is a silver face the earliest it could be would be around '68 as the blackface was discontinued around 1967 if I'm not mistaken.
