Classic song. One of the foundations I think, that led the form to be waht it would be. A classic showing that technical expertise is nice, but sometimes there's more soul in it when you just #$@*&!% wail.

I've got 55 versions of the song here and I think it's super interesting to see everyone's different interpretations.

Fifty-five different renditions of that song and none of them got the lyrics correct.

Ha!

And it was banned on some radio stations because of the lyrics which no one could agree on.

Motorheads version has the original lyrics, ironic that the hardest rock band who you would think would do the raunchiest version does it correctly.

Out in Seattle one year they had a rally to see how many guitar players they could squeeze into a stadium to play that song. I don't know if it is an annual event or not.

I have a book,I think it's The Stratocaster Chronicals,or something like that, and there's a pic of a Strat saying it might be the most heard Strat in the world....yep,it was the Strat used on the Kingsmen recording of Louie Louie.

You can see that very same guitar in a special display at the Experience Music Project in Seattle. 8)
