they say that guitars with nitro cant be used with the rubber
of guitar stands because it melts the rubber and nitro together.
if thats the case what do you do to prep your stands for use?

I use Hercules stands. They come in a variety of styles; single, double, triple and floor racks for 5 and 7, plus wall hangers for individual guitars.

Never had a problem.

Not real cheap, but well worth it. They are all I use.

Just wrap the prongs or whatever the guitar sits on with cotton.

Cut the fingers off an old pair of gloves and slip them over the rubber hangers.

I've never had a problem with my On Stage stand or the little foldable Fender stand.
