Thanks! Glad you liked it. Im just messing with this idea and did a rough demo on using garageband. The demo is only a sample of the beginning. Still working on it.

Anyways, I recorded the guitar parts using a tiny Roland Micro Cube amp and used the effects built in the amp. The left speaker is my roadworn strat and the amp was plugged in directly to an M-Audio Fast Track. The right speaker is my Les Paul Standard which the Roland Micro Cube was mic'ed using a shure sm-57.

I like it! Cool vibe. Sounded like it could have been done in a professional studio.

Yea, the magic of today's home recording is getting to be so advanced.

Hi BG65 that sounded great-had a great vibe to it and the guitar parts were clean and articulate-very tasteful and good playing, you'd never say that all that great tone was coming from a little Micro-Cube. There's a mini studio going on my wish list right now.

really liked that one. kind of had that "sexy" feel to it. maybe i'm just a horny beastard. the guitar licks were very cool.
improve? can't think of anything. my wife liked it also. what sucks is that she never comments on my stuff. probably doesn't want to hurt my feelings.
i want to hear more.

LMAO! Thanks! Yes, all the guitar parts were improves. This is only rough sample. I've had this tune in my head for awhile and though I should lay it on a track. I'm still working on it. I will post when I finish.

Thanks! Yup, that tiny Micro Cube has some great tone. It was running on six AA batteries for the recording. Great little amp as not too loud to bother anyone in the house.

Hey Bluesguitar! that was your first attempt at recording? nice!

Only issue I can hear is there is a slight timing problem between the bass-groove and some bassdrum punches, but that's nothing to do with your playing. Just give those two tracks a listen and maybe arrange the bassdrum per drag-and-drop to a more unified beat. Other than that: great!

Yes, it was my first attempt on home recording with garageband, still learning it.

Thanks for the bass and drum timing tip. I just found out that garageband can automatically fix the timing. I have the latest garageband 11.
