You got a real good deal there. I too am saving for my next purchase, however just about the time I have almost all the money for it, life throws me a curve and have to spend it on something else.

Have fun with your guitar. Looks great.

this thing plays and sounds pretty good.
the CS 69's from my understanding are a little more
tame than the stock pups for this fiddle.
i want to remove the bridge pup and drop in a seymour duncan JB jr.
good idea or bad guys?

I got a JBjr in the bridge on my roadhouse and I like it a lot. I think you will too. It screams.I also have Ernie Ball 9-42 on mine and I like them. I like 10's on a LP.

oh cool. does the JB jr have any bluesy tone to them at all?
do you use a OD pedal or a all out distortion pedal?

Not really, I go to my neck pickup for that. I have Fralin split blades in the neck and middle. I play in my apartment so I can't get too crazy loud, I have a Marshall MG15FX and I like it a LOT. It has effects so I just use them. It gets great Distortion tones has a delay, Phaser Chorus and Flanger. I mainly use the Phaser or Delay, and Get it dirty. Keeps me entertained playing to Jamtracks after work. 8)

I got a set of the split blade humbuckers but the do sound like single coils. so much that I took the bridge out and put the Duncan in about three times before I made up my mind to leave the Duncan in. I just don't use the bridge as much with the single coil. ( single coil sound) I like them' they clean up, but through my Marshall they can only get so clean. They sound great through a Fender amp. Check out www.fralinpickups.com He' got videos and you can call him on the phone with any questions. They are worth the cash. 8)

I'm running it as a humbucker full on. No split. I dont like the single in the bridge anyway. It definately sounds like a humbucker, It is Hot and can get Heavy, Nice pinch harmonics, and sustain. Way past my expectations when I first bought it and I used to have an Epi LP with the JB full size in it. The jr sounds just as good as the full size. 8)
