Ahhhh.... The "Race Card". I see it played many times here by many. Is that all you've got? Pathetic! It just does not hold any clout anymore and no one listens to it.

We are talking about instuments here (at least I am). Not PEOPLE. If you are born in America or a legal immigrant then you are an American. Act like one! But I really doubt that is who is playing the race card here.

So why are all you pathetic racist playing the race card?

As for me I'm Canadian and as stated before as far removed from being racist as one can be as I have relatives of different races so racial tolerance and acceptance was almost inborn.Again if in fact you are not a racist bigot I apologize profusely.'Nuff Said.

Combined with millions more, my vote and where I spend my money will change everything. The pendulum is beginning to swing. The blood bath begins in November.

For all of you pathetic race/bigot card players; I married a Mexican and have two half Mexican kids. Kind of puts your stupidity in perspective doesn't it? (your guitars still suck).

Has nothing to do with race.

I'm new here. I came along to make some casual internet friends and learn about geetars. Coming along here and ranting angrily is pointless. You won't change any minds: your points have been argued before.

Everybody knows that buying USA stuff can't hurt the USA economy. Most people seem to agree also that American Fenders are good and they are better than most copies.

Lots of us who play low priced (mine was free, in non-working condition) Asian Telecasters) would like to have an American one. Right now I really can't pay what an MIA costs here in Scotland: at least £600 ($800?), up to £2200. A perfectly playable Asian version is about £120 new.

A musician, even a reasonably patrioticAmerican one, can't be a fool to himself. If a Classic Vibe is better than a an MIA costing $1000 dollars more, what do you do? In the ultimate case, paying too much for inferior goods will make your country poorer, even if you're paying too much to Americans. We had it here in UK with cars and motorbikes.

All I say is: a true musician cares about music; where his instrument is from is totally irrelevant.

Now I would suggest everyone start behaving in the friendly, respectful, humourous and tactful way we're used to and which makes this forum so special. It would be a shame to have parts of the forum shut down because of bad behaviour by it's members.

This whole thing is getting old.
woolecox, if your only here to troll and start arguments, I suggest you just leave. Also to the members who have been here a while, don't fall into the name calling trap and get yourself banned. Don't feed the troll.
Just ignore it.

I've had it with this also,it's just an excercise in futility and it's like I'm beating my head against a brick wall but I will say this in closing when I bought my 8th Fender and 4th Strat I picked an MIM Jimmie Vaughn -just like the MIM model he plays-after trying out 9 or 10 Strats and had set my budget to $2,500.The Jimmie Vaughn sounded, played and felt better to me than any of the MIA or MIJ Strats in the bunch. With 45 years of playing 30 of my own guitars and after playing hundreds of others I think I know a great guitar when I play it.I have found that internationally the consistant quality of musical instruments has improved immensely so when I am looking for a quality product I will buy it no matter what the country of origin excepting of course rogue countries like Iran,Iraq North Korea etc.

You damn racist! Juan Williams just got fired from his anchor spot on NPR radio for saying less than that....

See what I mean?

Nothing racist about that at all for these are regimes run by autocratic despots and to patronize these countries helps finance these dictators.

I was checking out some PRS Se guitars today. would I be racist if I thought the American ones were nicer then the Korean made ones? I lke Gibson Les Pauls better then Epiphone Les Pauls. does that make me intolerant?
Nothing wrong with the less expensive imports the US Made ones are just nicer and really, I think that is the way they intended it to be.

There is nothing wrong with liking whatever you like friend. We have enough PC in the political world and don't need it in our forum. Like the man(Lennon) said,"whatever gets you through the night" !!
