Between the 2 I would get a Stratocaster; however, I am partial to Stratocasters. I am wanting to get a HH Blacktop Stratocaster myself. But a MIM HSS would do at this point. I really like the black with rosewood fingerboard Blacktop Stratocaster.

Let us know what you decide. Pictures are always cool too.

Get the Strat, in the long run it is a far more versatile and has a better resale value.
And there are far more accessory available.

I have a Tele lite ash and a Squire Strat. The Squire sounds terrible, but I really love the feel. Then I went to some guitar shops and played the Mexican. Totally different guitar and love it(feels real)! I grew up loving indie rock bands playing Jazzmasters...I think I want the Strat, but love the look of the Jazz!

I got the Sienna Sunburst Strat HSS....Only played it a bit, but it is sweet! The strings are lighter then I usually use, I think I like them. Fit and finish are great! And man am I glad I got the Humbucker! So much different in sound then my muddy Epi Les Paul. I'll try and post some pics up. On the back of the headstock, there is a special edition sticker. What makes it so?
