Hendrix used one at woodstock so I am going to guess that has something to do with the high prices. but damn they sure are ugly.

It was one of the widest available in the 60's.

http://wilco.kungfustore.com/category/7 ... trap-wil87 I got something like that from this site. Much cooler looking with the same sort of style. I Like them and these are made from an old car seatbelt with the fabric on top. very comfortable and very sturdy strap. I don't forsee having to buy another strap for a very long time, I think these straps will last about 20 years. They are $20.00 cheaper than the Hendrix reissue one. I like mine better anyway, I bought this one and the white one. 8)

I've really liked those Fender monogrammed straps, mine is so broken in and comfy...

I remeber seeing a Vox strap that was like a "John Lennon" style strap that I think was priced at $170...
