I second that! HOT ROD DEVILLES rock also! (wish I had one  )

I do have the Blues Jr. from the Hot Rod Series. It is 15 LOUD watts. You can also connect a cabinet to it.

Digital Modeling sounds like Home Video Game sound effects from the 80's. DSP distortion sounds like Bannanas landing on Donkey Kong JR's Head, or blasting the enemy boats on River Raider.

No, it's doesn't.

I mean, go ahead and believe anything you want, but pros know better.

I'm sure we could find "Pros" with each of our points of view, it doesn't change my ear, or my opinion. I also believe the best Hobbyist is always better than the worst Profesional. So the "Pro" title doesn't mean a lot to me, just the sound the player achives, and DSP Overdrives and Distortions sound like Old Video games, I've heard them, I don't have to take anyones word for it. Echo and Delay are OK but The reverb sounds "Pingy" on every Digital effect unit or amp I've ever used. I agree they're easy, but easy's not good enough for me.

so i guess guys like brad paisley arent pros. well thanks for clearing that up. I am glad to know i am not a pro. so when i am ready for my tone to be thin and week sounding i will go with digital gear. until then i will be blissful in my ignorance with my old tube anmp and analog pedals

I don't know if my Cyber Twin counts here since it really isn't a modeler. But all I have to do is choose my amp, adjust my settings (if I haven't already saved them with the touch of one button) and play away. No programming, no problem. I've got 4 amps on a stomp and really, who needs more then 4 different amp tones for a gig????

I'm going to suggest trying something other that Fender, Marshal or Mesa.
B-52! I have a B-52 AT212 and have had no problems for two years. I had never heard of these but tried one out at GC and thought there must be something wrong since it was about half the price of other tube amps. I play both a Les Paul and Strat. I must admit I prefer to play the LP, but the B-52 amp hits that Strat sound perfectly. Especially on the top pickup settings. The neck and out of phase settings. The only complaint I have is that it's very heavy to lug around. B-52 also makes a smaller 60 watt 112 but I haven't tried it. I assume it's very similar. You can also run it in Class A or Class A/B mode and even solid state.

I may be no "Pro" but my ears don't lie. I've been playing guitar for close to 20 years. First Measure is right. Digital Modeling sounds like poop. NOTHING beats the sounds of the real deal, HOT TUBES. Some digital effects like delays can be good but the distortion always sounds like cheese. :P

I agree i mean there have been great improvments over lets say the 08' solid state amp and digital effects craze, but you just cant beat analog
