Man am I excited now! My wife just ordered my birthday present from ZZounds, a Taylor 214CE! It is supposed to ship out Monday. I am REALLY looking forward to getting it. I tried one out today at Guitar Center in Birmingham and was surprised by just how easy it is to play compared to my old Yamaha acoustic. The setup was so light it was almost as easy as playing my Strat.....

I tried several acoustic that I really liked (Taylor 314CE for $1649, a Martin OMC-1E for $1099, a Martin 16DBGTE for $1649 and a Gibson Songwriter for about $2500). Although I liked the Martin 16DBGTE the best, I just didn't want to spend the extra $650 this time around.

Did I mention that I am REALLY looking forward to getting the Taylor!!!!!!

Congrats!! Taylor's are awesome. They play like electrics and sound like pure goodness. I almost bought one a years ago, still wish I had.

Taylor has yet to make a guitar that's anything less than great-they are exceptional guitars.Congrats.
