In his new bio, called "Life"...

"It was the beginning of the Eighties when Mick started to become unbearable," Richards writes in the memoir, "Life," which brought him an advance of 4.8 million pounds ($7.7 million) after a massive bidding war among publishers."

I'd imagine both of them to be unbearable really.

I found both of them to be unbearable knobs for what they did to Brian Jones without any compunction or remorse. They are both megalomaniacal control freaks and they deserve each other-it was a match made in hell.

Nevin,I'd love to hear your slightly true story about partying with Mick.

Keith is selling a book. He has to create a "buzz" and so you'll hear all sorts of things. "Even bad publicity is good publicity."

I'd personally would like to hear more about his guitars and amps. Bet there's more truth to that than what he says about Mick.

IMO, the both of them are mentally fried.

The part that gets me is how much money does Richards feel he needs?

And of course, Richards has been advised that dishing any internal 'dirt' will stimulate interest/sales just like the hissy fits that emerge between Tyler and Perry whenever they feel their spotlight is beginning to wane. Needless to say, this also sets Jagger up for a lucrative rebuttal book.

Speaking for myself, I honestly and truly don't care one way or the other.

You make it sound like they held his head under the water! As for no remorse you don't know that, rock stars weren't in the same light in the media compared to now.

I'm not saying that they actually had anything to do directly with his death. They did however wrench control of The Stones from Brian who was in fact the leader,in fact in earlier days they were billed as "Brian Jones' Rolling Stones".Brian became despondant when Mick and Keith started running the show and alienating him further hence his drug consumption increased as did his depression. The others did absolutely nothing to help their "friend" or get him help that he desperately needed but just cut him loose and then had the audacity to make a big show of how broken up they were when he died by having the huge Hyde Park concert with his newly annointed replacement. They forced him out of the group to further their own greedy self-serving agendas and showed no compunction at all when he died even though it was them that initiated his downward spiral. They then had the unmitigated gall to put on their best sad faces when they didn't care a toss for Brian.I have read copious accounts of the situation surrounding Brian's death and Jagger and Richards although they didn't technically kill him they made his life so miserable that he lost all hope and self worth.

You cant really say what Mick and Keith were feeling, no more than I can say I knew who shot John F Kennedy. Lots of books say it was just Lee Harvey Oswald, but that seems to be impossible due to the amount of angles the bullet entered and left JFK. Peace
