Dropped by our local Music Go Round last night to get some strings. Great price-$3.99 for Markley lites. Sometimes you walk in there and it's nothing but Stagg guitars and old peavy amps. But last nite they were selling some great gear. Boss pedals starting at $39. Fender HR Devilles for $500. HR Deluxes for $399.
They had a great guitar inventory also for a change. LPs and PRS. Nice MIA Strats for $799. An MIM Nashville Tel $499. A hand full of MIM Strats and Teles for around the $500 mark. This blew my mind-a Fender RI Super amp with 4X10 for $599, and an original 60's Super amp next to it for $1699. The store has been for sale for some time now, and seems to go thru a lot of employees. Do you have a Music Go Round in your area?Any cool finds there?

Those are some cool deals. I bet they are getting rid of some stock to reorder for the xmas season. I just might have to strattle on in to my local dealer to check out the inventory. Thanks for the heads-up!

Those really are good deals on those used amps. But those MIM Strat and Tele prices aren't good. Those guitars are used, right? MGR isn't a Fender retailer now are they? $500 for a used MIM Std Strat or Tele...when I can get a new one for the less? Whatever. My local Music Go Round is like that too. Nothing but a glorified pawn shop that happens to stock guitar related stuff for stupid high pawn shop prices. But every once in a while there are a few gems. Those amps are a killer deal. I might have to make a trip down there if you don't snatch up that Super RI :P

Love Music Go Round. They had a fully carved late 1800's upright bass for $500 at one time. For real. I've seen a mint German made Warwick bass for $500 too. Outstanding deals, nice gear. I bought my recent favorite fretless there.

The staff are polite and fair. I appreciate them being open on Sundays. They've gotten me out of a couple tough times. I check one of their local stores before I go anyplace if I'm seriously looking to buy.
