Folks:

Just over ten years ago (October 2, 2000) I started a new job as "Web Architect" at Fender and my life essentially turned upside down (in a good way!) on that day. I still remember vividly sitting down with my new boss that morning and having a lengthy discussion in which we mapped out the tasks at hand; before we knew it we had an entire white board positively chock full of tasks, and I'm still trying to get caught up on them all to this day. (Just kidding. :-) )

From that initial meeting I quite literally spent the next two years of my life camped out over at our old building in Scottsdale working away on the aforementioned whiteboarded tasks. Even though my social life certainly may have suffered a bit during those initial years, I still have fond memories of that era -- it was if I had been handed the golden key to a subject matter about which I already cared deeply, and asked to make use of it!

The years have passed and the title has changed, but the passion remains. Looking forward to another 10 years, and I tremendously appreciate everyone's continuing support and general fandom here on the forums.

Anyway ... got myself a new office today. Still a mess and will have to come in on a weekend to get fully settled in, but a few initial pics:

Brad,

Congratulations on 10 years!

You're the glue that holds this all together - thanks for your help and patience as you have to deal with all us knuckleheads on a day-to-day basis.

Best luck for the next 10 years!

LOL! Yeah, no window with this one unfortunately although I can't complain *too* badly -- it'll be a nice space once I get my 10 years of accumulated trinkets pared down just a bit, and it's in the perfect spot for easy interaction with my group!

Ooo - and your own project Strat body on the shelf: excellent. Are you going to do us a build thread sometime?

Congrats to you Brad. The company is very lucky to have you, and so are we!

Here's to the next ten years. 8)

Cheers - C

Congrats Brad, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Why don't you head over to Mike Eldreds office and ask him to put that guitar together for you.

There's no window because he doesn't want anyone to see him in the hot tub which is just out of view.
