i learned on a bullet bass. ditched the bullet once i discovered p-bass. i love my fender guitar but brother, i got a big problem with fender co. it seems that my music shop, in my town, doesn't do enough business for fender's taste, so they aren't an authorized fender dealer anymore. which is to say: fender wont bother with them anymore. soo, in return, im not dealing with fender till they apologize, in writing, to Mantova's Two Street Music in Eureka, CA. Until then, I've got a very used Fender P Bass, in good condition, for trade for anything non-fender. I dont want to support a brand that wont support my hometown. i'll probably go to Schecter for a diamond series bass with those sweet active pickups.
keep in mind, i DO love my fender p-bass.

Hey, pal. I liked the notes and the space between the notes. Clean playing. Thank you for sharing. :D

Very tasty and clean playing BG65,it's refreshing to know that there are still people out there who play clean and don't need to use a floor full of effects to cover up their shortcomings-great soulful playing.

I do love Fenders, but I love Gibsons, too ...

I have always wanted a Les Paul. For decades now. But I never bought one because (1) I was always so very happy with my '79 SG Std that I still love, and (2) ... the price. Now, I don't mean a Studio model ... but one fully finished (i.e., not "worn"), with body & neck binding, and has "Gibson" in-laid into the headstock. Either a Standard or a some variant thereof. I could snag one a used one for $1500 or so ... I think it is time to start putting some pennies into my "Les Paul fund". Yes, it is time ...

I love all of them for different reasons. Would love to have my own custom model, that would be awsome!
