ANYTHING but a mailman. If Canada is anything like the US postal service the job is not worth the money. It's just a migraine headache day-after-day. Unless you get a station boss that's not a  a*****e like the one I work under.

I am currently training for a career as a Busking Hobo. I just bought a new Guitar Case (to hold the cash) a good pair of boots, and a new Hat. My options are limited if I lose my Sales Position, and in this Economy, I have to be prepared. 8)

You could sign up for a luthiers course or attend one of the recording arts schools and do sound engineering etc. With your ear for music you should take to it like the proverbial duck to water. You could be the next Mutt Lange and find your own Shania Twain.

What jobs do you think would be interesting? What would be good to get into (keeping future prospects in mind)At least the farming paid off this year.

From what I am seeing on the streets and 'hearing' as side stream music out of earbuds......Audiology. I see hearing disorders as the prime health care issue of this generations future senior population, if not sooner.

Doc :?

Diesel Mechanic, licensed, with 2 loaded rollaway cabinets.

95% of everything in the US and Canada makes part of its journey to its end destination by truck.

Not the glamour of a rock guitar icon or jet fighter pilot, but a really solid living, with a future. And one you can do almost anywhere.

Best of fortune.

I had a lousy job where everyone treated me bad...and then I got laid off.

I decided I was going to get a job where I could get more self-respect than that one...

...so I became a male prostitute.

( Just kidding! )
