Hi all.

Yes, it is chili cook off time once again at Paradise Harley In Tigard Oregon, this Saturday at 12:30 I will be once again defending my championship and I would like all the forum members here to come down, taste the chili, and of course, VOTE FOR ME....Please.

You don't need to ride a motorcycle to come down, and no, we won't make you buy one either. (Unless you really want one)

I hope to see you at the cook off.

Wasn't there a guy who died in the UK a couple of years ago from eating too spicy chili? Maybe it was just hot sauce but what are you guys doing to your chili over there?
I don't think PDX has any direct flights to or from Europe/UK anymore so you'd probably have to go to SEA in which case you're looking at 12-14 hours including the layover.

I'd come to Tigard (which I mispronounced for 1.5 years) and try your chili and vote but I just moved south. Best of luck and knock em dead (not really, just impress the judges).

Jeff

You really shoulda told me mate. The hottest chilli in the world is grown where I live in gloomy Lincolnshire.
It's called the infinity chilli and is plenty hotter (25000 shu) than the Bhut Jolokia used in hand grenades by the Indian anti terror squads for crowd control.

Let me know nearer the next time. I'll send you some.

There was a chili sauce in metro Chicago a few years back which hwas called, "See Jane Run."

Bottle had a cartoon of a young girl running...

...with flames coming from the back of her skirt.

Half a bottle or so in a steak and 9-bean chili (with sun-dried tomatoes and mangoes) helped kick it up a notch.

But then, midwesterners often like their chili flavourful, not insane-hot.

Well, it was a rainy day here in Portland, had sum stiff competition this year but in the end, I came in second.

I gal that won, she brought a very good chili, all in all, I feel I did my best and that's all you can do.
Thank to all of you that came down, hope to see you next year.

Good luck Jeff, I hope you win again. The hottest sauce I have ever tasted is called Vicious Viper.

The hottest I have found Is Maddog 357.

It is stupid hot, 1 drop on 1 gallon of chili makes it so hot it is almost uneatable.

While a Jalapeno has 8,000-10,000 Cap in it, Maddog has 357,000 cap.
\I saw one guy pick up a bottle and put one shot in his mouth, had to take him to the hospital as it was closing off his airway.
