He sounds very good! Very nice indeed but Unfortunately thats due to hsi gear being like 40 years old or more

You really think? I thought it was bland sounding. Nothing you couldn't get out of a keyboard amp.

What's unfortunate about that?

You're joking right?

You seriously thought that was good. Gotta say if thats a Marshall clean sound, I'm suprised they ever sold anything. Let alone command the prices they do. I own two JCM's I know the guy must have been aiming for the flattest most uninspiring sound going. Either that or he had the mic' buried under a dozen pillows.
Don't bother looking for a keyboard amp, you'll be bowled over by a MG15.

Its just a tone that I haven't used before :/ the only Amp I have ever used is my roland Microcube and it doesnt have tweaking capabilities worth mentioning. :/
I'll hush now

Sooner or later, my widow will be listing all my stuff on Ebay -- you might get lucky.

Don't expect any bargains though!

NOOO you must state in your will that Forum members must gather and participate in a mass guitar off to earn the right for your vintage gear! :P

Oldest guitars I own is my classical guitar made by my great grandfather when he was young so apparently thats 80+

and my latest addition my Ibanez 1987 RG550

Quit the sidevalves a month or so ago. That aint a JTM either. Nothing but the clean channel of a DSL, a wah pedal and on the clean sound a Watkins amp.

I had the link up for plenty of time whilst I was in the band.

The apocalypse babys track was a Zoom 707 straight into the desk on the autowah'd stuff. The lead is a JCM 4211.

All three much fuller sounds with more underlying harmonic content. That guy needs his amp fixed or something. Did Shawaddywaddy set the rig up for him?

He should be getting a much better tone from a '71 1959.I don't know what kind of speakers he's using in the cab but if they're the original Greenback Celestions he should be getting a much better sound.Having a '71 Artiste 2040 (with Greenbacks)and 2 JCM 800s(4210 & 2204)I think I'm pretty familiar with Marshall clean and overdriven sound and although it doesn't sound awful it should sound much much better than it does. Then again you never know he may have 2nd rate pups in the guitar and that may be the culprit.

im sticking with this guys tone. i like it.
its not to thin or over distorted.
i cant see where you guys say his amp needs fixed or
that his tone should be better for a marshall.

After owning and playing through Marshalls for many years I know they are capable of producing a much better tone than this guy's getting,as I stated before the tone isn't awful but could be much better and it could well be inferior pickups in the guitar and not the amp at all,as inferior sounding Marshalls of that vintage are very uncommon.
