WONKY!!!! is correct, this Wonkiness is right up there with the one of the past. Real pain in the &$$. Then it starts bopping along!!!!

Ha! Just managed to log in for the first time in days. Oh man, total wonkiness being experienced here: I was seeing this quite a bit over the weekend:

Image

And then just couldn't find the site at all for two or three days. I've received useful suggestions from Forum users by email - reboot, empty temporary internet files and such - but no dice. Only this site is affected, and on various computers using different ISPs, so the problem is clearly upstream.

Obviously it's known about at source, so hopefully will be fixed soon. Good luck, Brad! :)

Oh well: at least I'm getting some work done, so that's a good thing. I expect.

Cheers all - C

How are we looking right now, folks? We're having quite a bit of difficulty tracking this one down as (a) it seems to only be affecting a small subset of our visitors, and (b) we are completely unable to reproduce the behavior ourselves.

The lack of response here presumably means either everyone's at lunch right now or the site is unusable and folks can't post a response. LOL. If the latter is the case shoot me an e-mail at ForumAdmin@fender.com.

Hi Brad! The site is still slow for me, each page takes a minute to a few minutes to load versus before when it took only a few seconds, hope that helps, good luck with this Bro.

way cool -- purely out of curiosity have you tried rebooting your own computer? I'm just curious.

Brad, please check the PM I sent to you on facebook detailing the issues I am having with your forum here.

I would have sent you a PM here but.....

Sorry, but it is very inconvenient to have to bounce around to other web sites just to tell you there's and issue with the board here.

Maybe you could just turn on YOUR PM?

Have a Hotmail account and link just for a the forum to use?

Maybe post your phone number at Fender so we can call you?

I'm just spitballing here Brad, this has been going on for over a week now, and it is also effecting the product side as well.

Understood but with all due respect, it's very clear how to reach me at any time -- simply send an e-mail to ForumAdmin@fender.com or webmaster@fender.com. Have you sent me an e-mail to that address throughout any of this?

Hi Brad: how strange!

Anyhow, as of a couple of hours ago everything has suddenly been working fine, far as this user is concerned. That's after two or three days of getting "page not found" in my browser(s). Oh, and that's on the main Fender.com pages too, as well as the Forum.

If the improvement is down to something you did - thanks! :D

Cheers - C

EDIT: to remove information made redundant by Brad's last post...

At this point to anyone who is still having sluggishness issues what I need is a user who can step forward and work with me very directly while we try a few tests and config changes to see if the issue goes away. If anyone's willing to devote the time to do so please contact me at ForumAdmin@fender.com.

That's good to hear, Ceri, thanks -- we've rebooted one piece of hardware in the timeframe you're mentioning here so I'm hoping that that may be related.
