Recently listening to Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer got me thinking ... how many other bands featured not one but two great players?
A few comes to mind:
    Derek and the Dominos
    Allman brothers
King Crimson with Robert Fripp and Adrian Belew
Rolling Stones with Keith Richards and Brian Jones

Well if were talking players in general (as in any instrument) I'd defenetly throw in

Cream- with jack Bruce and Clapton
Rush- geddy and Alex

Of course those two bands also have incredible drummers... I guess the super trios can feature even three players!

I was aiming for guitar duos. A few others came to mind:
Thin Lizzy, RacerX, Steely Dan with Walter Becker and Skunk Baxter, and how about Santana with Carlos and Neil Schon?

Yes, they are. Everyone always seem to target the Allmans, Thin Lizzy and Priest which are all great choices. But the Travers/Thrall tandem smoked mightily.

Check out Pat Travers' "Go for what you know" album if you have not heard it ...
