I emailed ZZ and asked why I have not seen him on the (Strat) forum recently. He told me time's a thief and steals a great deal of his leisure. Then he pointed me to this thread and I was like, ah ha! here is where he has been! LOL! Great you and Mr C. could connect in NY! Love the shirts by the way. Now we all need to converge on Mr. C. home for a Fender forum convention and his wife will start to think the harp player was worth listening too after all!

Speaking of guitars players getting together. Thursday we did a jam, two ladies, one on keyboard and the other bass and then two guitar players (myself being one). The lady on keyboards finally stopped singing and playing and said, "This is what happens when you get together with guitar players.... I can't even hear myself!"   We were gracefully soloing non-stop.....glup.....

It was Stratmansteve. I first met him two years ago. You were talking about having your son join us the next go round. Here we go again, you and I flipping locations. I'll be down there across Thanksgiving, leaving NYC the day before and returning the day after. In December leaving on the 17th and returning the third of Jan. Also across MLK and Pres Day though I believe Hotel ZZDoc will pressed into service for those, but in March there'll be another fortnight so we have some possiblities. There's another Floridian or two we might try to hook in. I'll work on it.

I should have niiki send you vocal of The Sidevalves so you can listen to their lady singing 'Tush". No complaints there. 8)

I will most likely be down here for winter break; a bit early to tell yet. Michael will also be here; his winter break from Temple is 1 month long.

Looking northeast there is what has now been renamed the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge ( ne Triboro Bridge)... From that viewpoint during the day, had I been there with you , I would have directed your attention south where you would have seen that powerhouse we discussed in an earlier thread of yours. The Pink Floyd pig re-creation, you might recall.

This?

Yes, that's almost exactly what happened. Almost.

Hi Doc - Let me know what your plans are once you know them. Over the last couple of months my company has had me traveling to the point I've spent more time on a plane than in my own bed. I missed my guitars!!

Ceri - You're in NYC?! I just got back from London!!

I was - but I just got back to London! I saw your face at the window of your aircraft as you were taking off and I was landing on adjacent runways at Heathrow, but I don't think you saw me. They seemed to be handing you a Guinness and I guess had all your attention...

And seriously: if anyone's ever in my town gimme a shout, why not? I'm not bashful about coming out for drinks, meals, gigs - whatever. 8)

Cheers - C

My company is still cutting costs -- I was in coach and, believe me, there was no Guinness there. :(

I attended the MRO Europe at the ExCel Centre which is about as far east as I've ever been in London. I took the Heathrow Express to the Bakerloo line to Baker St., then the Jubilee to Canary Wharf where I ended up in a forest of bank buildings. Never saw so many banks in one place in my life. I wandered around like a pack mule with my luggage strapped to me asking anyone who would listen, "Can you please tell me how to get to the Marriott?" At long last I sat in the hotel bar with my first (but not my last) pint of Guinness.

Not much time for sightseeing, though, I did take a friend up to Abbey Rd. so he could snap some pics.
