Need to scroll down after entering town.

Anyone else find it accurate?

I've looked at a few different locations and the traps are exact!

It's much easier to catch you when there's 100,000 new police (Thank you Bill Clinton) and a "Homeland Security" department (Thank you George Bush) and coming to a town near you a "Civilian Military Precense" (Thank you Barack Obama). And we let it happen.

Elections should be twice a year... these Bastids have too much time to communize our nation!

Have you noticed across tha nation speed limits have been lowered - in most municiplaties. ? ? ? GOTCHA!

It's extremely accurate for my little town. Photo radar vans hidden in the bushes and redlight cameras are a way of life here. Why? :x

This is all designed to keep you safe. When the politicians say, "We're going to keep you safe" most people vote those feel gooders into office. What happens after that has nothing to do with your safety.

Those 100,000 new police have to get paid somehow, so they lowered the speed limits, increased the DUI checkpoints, increased the Seat Belt checkpoints...and voila, We are safer! But we certainly pay dearly for it, with our freedom.

It's one of those databases that let's you add traps to it. I added one, but they take 1 or 2 days to verify and actually add it.

I wonder how long until someone muzzles it. :?:

Yes, the sight is pretty accurate for my community, but my local government has moved on to a more high-tech solution -- red light cameras. At one time, police were sending tickets to two-thirds of the drivers making a right turn on red at a local major intersection prompting some drivers to say they would not patronize local businesses near the intersection. You could be ticketed for not making a complete stop and/or not stopping behind the white line which was until recently the same as going through the light!! One driver went to court to fight his fine (which has increased recently from $125 to over $150) saying his ticket listed the speed of his car at the time of the infraction as zero!!! A local police spokesman said, "Zero doesn't really mean zero."

Our city commission says the cameras were installed to promote safety. One commissioner told the press not to be fooled because it was all about revenue. He's up for re-election and he's got my vote. Wait until the snowbirds come down and get their first tickets.

One last note - the revenue is being shared by the municipality that collects it, the state of Florida and, get this, American Traffic Solutions, Inc. which is a private company that provides the cameras.

Sorry to rant. Attached is a link to an article stating things are getting 'better'.

If he's on the board and the board does the hiring and firing in townships across the nation, how is it that he's agreeing that it is for revenue purposes only, but yet you are voting for him? Unless he's in the minority and cannot muster up votes to defeat the excursion.

I'd campaign against him, and any of the others in the TWP that voted for the installation of these revenue oriented tactics.

Some things around here are shaky too. . . the police tell the commishioners to "stay out of police business" - which is OUR business too. People need to wake up.

I spot checked parts of Vermont that I know well.

It's right on - most folks seem to include the ones that are obvious. They even have one where folks have voted 100% (except for the original poster) that a particular place is not a speedtrap - mostly because the described locations of the speed signs are all wrong! They do give out tickets there, but it's perfectly fair - they even put up one of the radar gun speed signs there (and don't give tickets with it) - just to show folks that they are speeding just a little bit.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. The city commissioners tried to pass this off as a safety issue, but one lone commissioner disagreed with installing the cameras and told the public that the real reason for the cameras was to raise revenue. We need someone who will tell us what's really going on as we have a mayor with her own agenda. That's why I am voting for him.

A bit off topic, but you may have read this on the 'net a year and a half ago. I live in the same city where this same mayor had our police dept. join an investigation of a local gentlemen's club. They sent undercover cops in there to find evidence of wrongdoing. The investigation took TWO YEARS !!! That's a lot of lap dances.
