I bought one a year or so ago with the intent of recording my progress. So far all I have recorded is a sloppy version of a blues shuffle in A. It was very easy to use, though. I just haven't much else with it.

Did you buy one, or just thinking about it?

im thinking abou it. it seems like a cool lil device to have around.
so how do you get to hear what youve recorded since there is no speaker out?

On the left side of the unit as it faces you is a headphone/line out jack. What I have been doing is either listening through my headphones or as an alternative, plugging computer speakers into it. I just use the plug from the speakers that would normally go into the computer's sound card.

It just depends on how much you would use it. I paid $180 for mine at GC and they are still that price. If it works and even if you use it a few times a month or whatever, I think it's worth it. It's really a subjective thing, I guess. I hope to start using mine more often in the near future.

I have one. The recording quality is guite good. Just get a bigger sd card than 1 gig to avoid any file transfer issues. And I'd recommend getting a power supply.

WCJ,
I'm still shopping too, came across this today, and while it may seem like apples to oranges the price is tempting.
