Hohoho! yes! yes! its here...now I am adding to my own topic just in case  So here goes, I hope Fender mantains Subsidiary brands and manufacturing plants in Asia and also monitors QC well. Otherwise the price of the American made would cost a bomb considering the exchange rate. It is just as hard for us to pay an extra money note in our currency just like it is hard for you to pay an extra dollar. On basic goods the buying capacity of these money notes are relatively equal. I started out with Ibanez JEM 77 and RG 570 coz I thought double locking is the only system that works however until recently discovered that the Strats tuning stability could be acceptable with a proper setup.

I discovered the Strat by coincidence and to my surprise after an organised survey despite the ruthless critics Asian made Squiers are reasonably good. The American made are a few notch better in terms of the finish, tone and feel. Since I have spent on the Ibanez and just getting to know the Strat I got the Asian made Squier Affinity Series. It rings real nice, Strat pop sound, nice fretboard feel, bright clear tone, maple fretboard a beautiful sunburst too sweet to resist. It is way far different from lousy Strat copies with slipping tuners and trem spring tension so hard that it feels like tugging a bull at the other end.

A Fender Strat or any affiliated brand is a piece of art, some may prefer the fat lead Tone and sustain of the Gibson but the versatility and sweetness of the Strat is phenomenal.
