does anyone here using any backing track programs to practice with?

instead of buying a g-dec, i wouldn't mind using a computer program, or a website for that matter- maybe even cd's as a way to practice.

i need something easy to use. i am not interested in recording, just to polish up my skills. any recommendations?

years ago i had some "music minus 1" lp's that were fun, but i need something a little newer

I download backing tracks from the web, load them to my iPod and then connect my iPod to my amp and play along. That way I don't have to be near a computer or stereo. Comes in handy when playing with the guys.

Google, "Pete Anderson Chicago Blues". There are 14 free Backing tracks available for download. Pete made them for the Guitar Center King of the Blues contest. They're great and alot of fun to practice to. Enjoy! :D
