Here's the R&R HOF 2011 nomination list:

Alice Cooper
Beastie Boys
Bon Jovi
Chic
Neil Diamond
Donovan
Dr. John
J. Geils Band
LL Cool J
Darlene Love
Laura Nyro
Donna Summer
Joe Tex
Tom Waits
Chuck Willis

Who do you think gets in? I'd say Geils, Bon Jovi & Dr John.

I think the time is long past due for Alice Cooper to get in.

He really spear headed a whole movement as per stage presence.
He really ushered in theatrical stage shows.

Much less deserving people are in.

+1

and once again we are subjected to the idiotic PC move of having LL Cool J on the ballot.

Dancing Disco Doll Donna must have been put in as a joke as well as LL Cool J.Since when are disco and rap considered rock let alone music? Tom Waits although very gifted and at the top of his genre is hardly a rocker. Donovan unknown to many has penned some pretty heavy songs like Cosmic Wheels,Wild Witch Lady,Poke At The Pope,Hey Gyp etc. so I can even see him getting a nomination but it looks like some were put in just for comedic relief. Bon Jovi never rocked my boat and I always equated him with being a bit of a poseur ,like his hair his songs to me were mostly fluff.

Until RORY GALLAGHER even gets a nomination.... much less being inducted.... the whole thing will be a f***ing joke :!:

For those people who really know rock music - who is more deserving than this man ????

I would love see two of my favorites get in, KISS and Alice Cooper. I know KISS will never make it since they are a joke to the establishment, but Alice may have a shot.

And I agree with Jeffytune, if you have to Google the name of a nominee, than it's a "no."

Several on the list are deserving... but with recent inductees, who really wants to get in

The last time I checked, KISS was only second to the Beatles in record sales, can't think there much of a joke in my book.

I'd love to see The J. Geils Band make it. But I wonder what Jann Wenner & the board will use as criteria?

JGB was a kickass band for sure (especially live), but I'd almost bet money that Jann et al only likes the "Freezeframe" & "Love Stinks" era.

Link Wray should have been in long ago, but he still isn't. :?
