Hi There.

I would like to say, as I am almost 50, I still have to say i liked that song, not bad at all.

Looking at the two guitarist one playing a humbucker guitar and one playing a strat with gold lace's in it.

So it would be helpful to know what guitar your playing, I WILL ASSUME you have a standard strat.

I would start by setting your pick up selector to position 2 (Middle & Bridge) from there a good tube amp with a crunch channel would be helpful to get this sound without having to dime the amp out.

If you have a cleaner type amp (Say a fender deluxe) then a overdrive pedal will be needed. The Boss DS-1 (orange) should be able to dial it in, drop back the midrange one the amp EQ, and you will be close.

Thanks so much!

The flatliners are pretty good, they are a punk rock band but still have that melodic aspect to their music.

right now i'm tearing apart an old squire guitar that cost around 99 bucks
its just a squire standard strat
ill totally look into your suggestions, however i would like to make this guitar something special. get some serious, long lasting hardware on it but for a low price, which i know is impossible.

also, i love my tube head. Its a Bugera V55HD
it gets some great clean, solid vintage, but when you want it to roar you could tear down a house.

any ideas on where i can find some good parts for my guitar on the cheap or free side? thanks!

-Mike
