I looked at one of these today at the local guitar show and the guy was asking $400 in mint condit. with a cover for it. It is better than the regular blues jr? I think it has a different speaker? I can get a brand new Blues Jr from the same shop for $375 with a cover. Any info you can share about the Tx red one vs regular Blues Jr?

I don't know if they still owe them, you could page a few members that had them. Good luck.

I own one. I LOVE it-- my go to amp.

It is basically a stock BluesJr with a few exceptions:
1. Celestion v30 speaker
2. Red Tolex covering with Chili Pepper Plate Cover
3. Wheat-cloth (I think that's the color) grille cover
4. White chicken-head knobs
5. Molded handle
6. Limited Production Run

I think most people will tell you the Celestion speaker sounds better than stock. Additionally, I did see one go on EBay for over 500 relatively recently. (I'm too lazy to look up auction, but if you do a search, you should find it.)

It's a really nice amp. If you like the color, there's no reason not to go for it. Highest possible reccomendation.

When I got my Blues Jr. someone on the forum suggested I take out the Eminence and put in a Vintage 30 as it would really improve the tone- when the money's right I'm going to do it as I love the sound of Vintage 30s.So I daresay the Texas Red with the V 30 already in it should really sound like something else.
