Don't like Bieber and didn't care for Nirvana either. Music was very simplistic. I guess it was ok if you like a vocalist with a limited range who usually sang off key.

missing the point of punk

It would be more accurate to say he's the Fabian of his generation.

Don't remember who Fabian was? My point exactly...

to play what you feel, usually resulting in lyricall content like political, freedom etc. thats what it is in my opinion anyway.

Aaron Carter would be even more accurate

Apparently some teeny bopper mag has had the audacity and stupidity to compare Justa Beaver's ascent to stardom and his"talent"with that of The Beatles. It's bad enough when they say this about Lady Gag but with this little girlie boy it's just too ridiculous for words. He'll be a has been the minute his voice changes or he gets hair on his face-remember Hanson?

So by your definition that would mean Lady Gaga is a punk artist. She plays what she feels and her lyrics are political ^^

To be completely contradictory in every way to Rick Wakeman's king arthur on ice.

You're onto something! JB will never be 1/100,000,000th of the legends he is comparing himself to because he never paid his dues and doesn't have the drive and fire inside or wherewithal to create anything new and artistically exciting enough to be beyond a footnote in tween history.

The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain (whether you like them or not) weren't overnight sensations and worked for years honing their craft and sometimes literally playing in ghettos. Although MJ made it at a much younger age, they all paid their dues and had a vision that they stuck with and became the best at what they did.

JB wouldn't last through one song on the Chitlin'Circuit, Hamburg's Reeperbahn, or at a dive bar in Aberdeen, WA.

But you all know that. I'm preaching to the choir. Oh well.

im not following you. those guys impacted the people of the 60s not my generation today.

What I was saying was ... the only guys who impacted their respective generations more than Cobain did was Lennon, McCartney, and Dylan. That is, the impact they had on their generation was more -- IMO -- than Cobain had on his. But that is a pretty short and very impressive list which was my point. ... I was agreeing with you if that was not clear ...

Kurt Cobain didn't want to become the "Kurt Cobain" of his generation, it just happened. So to me, anybody who self-proclaims to be Kurt Cobain is not...and one Kurt Cobain was enough in my lifetime, that I'm not worried nor do I really care if there is or is not a "new Kurt Cobain" anytime soon...If it happens, it happens...if it don't...I'll still live....
