Hank played with lots of famous people, Elvis, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Chet Atkins, Grand Ole Opry, and many more. He was the guitar player on "Jingle Bell Rock".

Anyone see it yet?

Here's a little guitar history note about Hank Garland. The famous Gibson Byrdland was named by combining the names of Billie Byrd-Ernest Tubb's famed guitarist and Hank Garland.Hank and Billie put together the specs they wanted on a hollow body archtop having a short scale and thinner body(2 1/4") than most Gibson archtop electrics(3 1/4") of the time.Hank had made a name for himself by recording his "Sugarfoot Rag" which became a big hit.
