i know my vocals are bad, but i wrote lyrics for the song last night so...

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9685126

its not 100% perfect i know, i've gotta calm down on hitting the strings a bit haha, and i might have got the beat's wrong in some parts caus it is hard to strum very fast plus bordering screaming plus reading the lyrics, not to mention i'd been playing non stop for about 2 hours before hand.
tell me what you think, and be honest.

dude dont beat yourself up so much... that was pretty ****in good...

IMO youre quite good at writing lyrics... i get ideas, but they usually dissolve into aimless rage and depression before i can write em down... :?

haha thanks and the lyrics aren't what they seem, i used metaphors in practically every sentence, so it doesn't seem like what i first had in mind :)

Good job Riley! I admire you in posting your music - you are a braver man than me! :)

You sound a bit like Lou Reed with your singing style, and there's certainly nothing wrong with that! Your recording sounds like a bootlegged copy of something he'd do in one of his concerts.

Keep up your passion with your playing/singing/songwriting - you've got a good start and a good direction with what you want to do.

Cool Riley, singing over the track so you can concentrate your singing effort could clean up the vocals will make it easier although the raw vibe might diminish. the choice is yours definitely keep doing what you're doing Bro.
