Niki! Is it possible you could tell me a little about that Amp build you did there with the Cabinet? It seems like a really good idea and Im really considering something like that if I can as I have a 212 cab at hand.

Did you check out the demo of the VHT Special 6 Combo that he mentioned on their website? For 200 I can't see myself buying anything else for a small low watt practice amp. It sounds killer. It has speaker out as well.

I understand if you want to build, I'm like that myself.

VHT is a very good option indeed! but £200 as an 18 year old is a $@!&* to save up unless you have a Job that pays alright AND understanding parents.
I have the great parents but Im lacking a job atm...Just applied for toys R us.

Anyway im waffling!
£200 if tricky to save so If I can save £200 I might aswell go the extra mile and build something real special!
It'll be very special to me too that way :D I love to build! I've recently just installed Pickups into a Les Paul Copy I picked up for £20 and its going to be something special when Im done :D thatll be a while away yet though I should think...I needs a Stoptail and Bridge...And tuners.

Guys you'll spend more than £200 on your first amp build, trust me. A very established amp builder who worked on Michael Jackson's pa rigs told me, "you make mistakes the first time, everyone does".

CR what I did, I built the chassis of the amp and housed it in a Marshall 1936 cab that I had knocking around.
It's not a way to save money. It's a way of getting boutique quality (whatever that is) at a reasonable price.

I really recommend the VHT, brilliant amps, absolutely fantastic quality at a price thats unbelievable. Most amp components come out of China anyways, no matter which amp brand you go for.

Its cool :) Im not looking into the build to save Money :) Im intersted in having a Stunning Amp for small Gigs in the future. a Little home made combo ideally but Im sure the VHT will suffice until im financially capable of making the necessary mistakes :)
