Had chance to see Neil Young last time he played in England but just couldnt get a work swap for cover, could have gone awol but . . . .
(they just dont deserve me , so others have said anyway)

1986 Newcastle United football ground, Bob Dylan along with Santana and local bands like Lindisfarne playing.

Went with my sister, i have 2 living in the area, when it was just good ole Bob due on she says "right are we done lets leave" After trying to get out past locked gates and incredulous security peeps we made a break for it, i was 24 at the time and knew more about Dylan off the magic roundabout than the great one Only later did i get to appreciate Mr Zimmerman lol, plus my ride was leaving !

Those who say Neil Young is not a good guitarist should have been there last night. Not a misplaced note, amazing fretboard work on the acoustic songs, and his voice is as strong as ever. All in all, a very enjoyable show. Chatch him if you can in your city.

He did "Four Strong Winds" on his TV special. One of my favorite songs, and proportedly one of his too. Was a regular in the set of a vocal duo on the same bill with us at The Cafe WHA?? in the mid-sixties. After all these years, I sang the song along with him and didn't miss a word.
