Wouldn't that control knob in the middle of the pickguard get in the way of strumming?

Had my Orange 5120 out for a few hours this afternoon, even unpluged it's a nice sounding guitar.
Cheers,

Very nice ABS. I'm with you, I prefer my Tele's but I also like playing my 5120.

I noticed you are in the Adirondacks....where abouts? I grew up there on the southern end.

I do like gretsch when I have played on them, but I haven't got one yet. If I did I would go for a hollow body I think like a country club or country gentleman. Although I am looking at an acoustic next and I am liking the look of the g400 :)

'Never had one, no real desire to acquire a Gretsch.

An ES-335 seemed to do what a 6120 would, and none of the other Gretsch models appealed much.

Fritzed a bunch with the 6120 and Jet models on the L6 Variax, nice but not earth-shaking to these ears.

excellent observation metro. I pick a bit closer to the bridge pickup so not sure if I would bang against that knob. If I get a chance to play one this Forum will get my review first

Thanks ES, Our slice of heaven is on the western side near Cranberry Lake. Where in the south did you grow up?? near Speculator or more towards Old Forge?? I can't wait for retirement from the army in a few short years...because our log home on the mountain lake will be built!!
ABS :D
